June 26, 2020 Sevier River - Castle Rock Campground June 26 to 28..Our Sevier River trip is coming up near the end of this month. We have three campsites (one double and two singles) reserved at Castlerock Campground just off I-70. Located about 18 miles from I-15 on I-70 going east or about 5.5 miles on I-70 from US 89 going west. Many of us love this trip for the quaint little campground. The run is about six miles long and we will try for two or more runs in a day. It is short, fast and shallow, not necessarily difficult or dangerous. Did I say FUN? Just Class II/III. There is not a lot of space or eddies to stop in groups to rest. You must be able to paddle a straight line and stay in line with the group. Non-members are required to fill out a waver form with a $10 processing fee at each activity. Most of our camping sites we try to reserve space as is possible and ask $5 per person per night for members and non-members to help cover costs at campgrounds. This may fluctuate slightly depending on the campgrounds, numbers of vehicles and available space. We look forward to boating with you. Coordinator Dustin Judd
July 23, 2020 Payette Rivers - Hot Springs Campground 7-23 to 7-26 The Payette River trip is one of our most popular do to the variety of runs available and the scenic beauty of the area. We will be at the Hot Springs Campground Group site located on Hwy #17 which is Banks Lowman Road just past Garden Valley. Camp site is reserved starting Thur. 7/23 thru 7/26. We will be asking for $5 per person / per night for camping. If you are not a member, you are welcome to join us but we do ask that you sign a ACA waiver and pay the $10 event fee. We will be paddling as a group Fri., Sat. and Sunday morning. We will be running the "Main", Cabarton, and Swirly Canyons. Other options may include the Canyon, and the lower South Fork. This is a trip you don't want to miss out on. If you have any questions please contact us at uwc-leadership@googlegroups.com Event coordinator Melissa Connolly. See you on the River!
August 13, 2020 Alpine Canyon, Snake River - Campground: Alpine North Loop  We have Alpine North loop campsite reserved for Thursday 8/13 thru Saturday 8/15 departing Sunday. Paddling Friday, Saturday and Sunday morning. We will be at Alpine North Loop Campground, group site. When you leave Alpine and cross the bridge, instead of turning right and going up the canyon, go straight for about 1 mile. Alpine campground is on the left. Drive time from SLC is between 3 1/2 to 4 hours. We will have a quick meeting Friday and Saturday morning at 9:00 AM before we head up the river. Depending on the numbers, we will be splitting into groups with different launch times and locations. If you are arriving later than 9 AM please let us know so we can make arrangement for you. We do have phone reception at the campground. We plan to run the river on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, giving the time we may do several trips down on the same day. This is a Class II - III River. May not be the best for a new beginner. This has always been a fun weekend. If you have any questions contact us at uwc-leadership@googlegroups.com See You On The River! Cost is $5 per-person per night for camping and Non-members an additional $10 event fee that will include their ACA wavier. Event Coordinator: Ryan Metzger
